The Brief
Addisons, a leading Sydney law firm, engaged BrandMatters to refresh its brand identity — aiming to better reflect its people-first approach and renewed focus on client partnerships.
The Approach
I worked closely with the strategy team to translate key insights into a brand identity that felt confident, human and distinct. The refreshed logo features a custom lowercase ‘a’ — a mark that feels contemporary while subtly nodding to the firm’s heritage and gravitas. It strikes a balance between approachability and professionalism, helping to foster trust and credibility. I also helped define the visual tone through colour, typography and photography — including commissioning a new shoot to capture the warmth, diversity and energy of the Addisons team.
The Result
The refreshed identity repositioned Addisons as a more human and client-focused firm. It rolled out across digital platforms, office spaces and communications, reinforcing the firm’s renewed purpose and personality.
